Calling all ninjas in training! If you live in the NYC Metropolitan area or have plans to visit in the next few months, don’t miss out on your chance to meet the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at their first-ever museum exhibit, “ Secrets of the Sewer“. The exhibit will be located at The Liberty Science Center in New Jersey there till September 5. You can get there either by public transportation or a short drive from NYC.
Thanks to Mom Trends These Kids Do It All, Papi and me had the chance to visit the exhibit last week and can can tell you it is awesome dude! We are a family of turtle lovers so this was such a treat. In this turtle-y awesome exhibit, kids and families are able to train like true ninjas as they work their way through a series of puzzles, mazes, and obstacles that emphasize teamwork and problem-solving skills.
These are some of the activities the exhibit has to offer:
- Build a “bridge” together and think creatively as a a team to overcome challenges
- Assemble two electrical circuit puzzles by taking one apart to build another
- Navigate the rope maze without triggering alarms
- Practice Ninja speed and slicing skills while playing a dexterity-based computer game
- Practice your balance on skateboards
- Create a sewer pipe together
Remember the exhibit is open until September 5th at The Liberty Science Center
$21.75 for adults, $18.75 senior citizens and $17.75 for children, children under 2 are free)
We also had a chance to visit The Science of Pizza Join the party in a special presentation by celebrity chef Donatella Arpaia and the Star-Ledger’s Munchmobile maestro Pete Genovese. We got to learn about the history of pizza and some of the kids had a chance to roll out some dough. You also get a voucher for a free pizza with every ticket (sold separately).
After make sure to explore the rest of the Museum. We did and we literally had to drag the kids out. This museum has over 12 exhibits. Perfect day trip to spend with family this summer. Mami Approved!
